“Jessica”, as it’s currently spelled, was first found in William Shakespeare’s The Merchant of Venice in 1598 where Jessica is the name of Shylock’s daughter. The name is an anglicization of the biblical Hebrew name “Iskah”.

Martin Luther King Jr is famous as an activist for the black community and the leader of the civil right movement from 1954 until his death in 1968. They were both born in 1929.
