Photography is one of the most powerful means of expression. Andrea Amado, a young photographer from Spain, felt that analog photography was the best way to share feelings and thoughts. Here is her analog impression of Formentera, an island belonging to the Spanish Balears.
She did not need colours to make her pictures alive. The black and white evoke the stillness and quietness of the island, that is usually bustling with people. For a moment, Formentera forgets to be one of the most famous tourist destinations in the Mediterranean. It rediscovers the silent peace of its nature and its origins as a fishermen’s island.

I started early, took my dog,
And visited the sea;
The mermaids in the basement
